Come get in my way, and get tossed in the lake
Likes: quidditch, coffee, bright colors, chocolate, vanilla and sandalwood, naps, grass, the smell of broom wax, her team, the feeling of sore muscles (they're a reminder of hard work), manners
Dislikes: the smell of peonies, solidarity, sleepless nights, losing, bossy people, running sprints, laziness, skrewts, unnecessary unkindness, secrets, cockroaches, rudeness
Strengths: Quidditch (chasing and flying to be specific), eyebrow movements, Defense Against the Dark Arts, cheering people up, public speaking
Weaknesses: keeping secrets, beating, Potions, Ancient Runes, saying no, taking things seriously
Best Memory: Though she barely remembers it, her seventh birthday is her favorite memory. It was before her little brother was born, and her mom was pregnant at the time. Her parents threw her a large birthday party, doting on her throughout the event. Katie was, at this time, the baby, and spoiled beyond belief; because of this, one of her biggest flaws is her need for attention. On this birthday, her parents got her a puppy named Zuzu (the dog lives with Katie's family during the school year), who Katie dramatically announced as her best and only friend a year later.
Mirror of Erised: If she looked into the Mirror or Erised, Katie would see herself surrounded by family and friends, all happy and healthy, and all focused on her.
Patronus: Katie learned how to congure a Patronus in her fifth year thanks to Harry's lessons in Dumbledore's Army, but she only managed a full-bodied Patronus once, for a few minutes. Her Patronus takes the form of a young lion.
Boggart: Katie's worst fear is nothingness, or abyss. Her boggsrt makes her see just that; empty black space.
Dementor: Bring told by her drunk uncle at Christmas that she was, "the one no one cared about," and having no one care when she cried about it.
Veritaserum: deepest secret
Personality: Extroverted, a leader, and brave to a fault, Katie is the picture of a stereotypical Gryffindor if there ever was one. She's loyal until the end and she will go to battle for a friend with no qualms, whether her help is wanted or not. Bell is a smart girl, but she doesn't try very hard in her classes. She chooses to, instead, focus her energy on quidditch and her friends.
Katie comes from a halfblood, Muggle-friendly family. She is a bit hypocritical in her views of prejudice; while he does not put up with blood-status prejudice, she prescribes to a certain brand of it. She believes all Slytherins to be the same- snobby, rude bullies- unless they prove themselves differently, which anyone has yet to do. These feelings often get Katie involved in squabbles with Slytherins- never fist-fights, however, as Katie's rough reputation transfers from the quidditch pitch to the hallways.
Bell's friends know that quidditch-Katie and regular Katie couldn't be more different. As Harry Potter says of her in the sixth book,"she wouldn't hurt a fly off the pitch."
In day-to-day life, Katie's bark is much worse than her bite, and she's actually very sensitive.
Many consider Katie to be annoying. She knows this, however, and takes her obnoxiousness as a side affect of the attention she wants, though it's really a side effect of her need for the attention. She is the middle child we've all heard about: ignored at home, so she reaches out for attention in any way she can. She is loud and will do anything for a laugh. This turns bad, though, when she goes too far (which she does often).

History: History: Katie was the youngest child until she was eight, and for these first eight years of her life she was treated as such. She was babied, spoiled and payed attention to, as youngest children are. When her brother was born, she found she had to share the spotlight. Two years later, around her tenth birthday, Katie received her Hogwarts letter. Her sister, who had graduated that year, and her parents had raised Katie on a "Gryffindor or Bust" type mentality, but when she learned more about the houses she figured that she'd be a Hufflepuff, due to her outgoing, friendly attitude.
She was sorted in to Gryffindor, of course, and from that moment on became eternally loyal to her great house. Katie tried out for quidditch her first year and was turned down; She had expected this, being a first year. Her second year, she tried out again and made the team. Through the team she made some of her best friends: the Weasley twins, Oliver Wood, Alicia Spinnet, Angelina Johnson and Harry Potter.
Quidditch became priority one, though she kept her grades up so that she could stay on the team.
Katie's third year, with the exception of some growing, the addition of Hogsmedes trips and an expanding crush on her quidditch captain, Oliver Wood, was uneventful. During her forth year, Katie supported Garry in what she believed was his attempt at winning the tournament, though she would have liked to be in the competition herself. Her feelings changed at the last event of the Triwizard Tournament, when Cedric Diggory was killed. Katie would be lying if she said they were close, but she can truthfully say his seat affected her greatly. That summer was spent mostly at home, with her family.
Fifth year brought about the reign and wrath of Umbridge, but also the formation of Dumbledore's Army, of which Katie was an original and loyal member. Though every other part of her school year was wretched, thanks to the frog-faced professor, she made cherished, close friend through the D.A. She also produced her first and only Patronus, a young, maneless lion.
The summer before sixth year was another spent mostly at home due to the Dark Lord's return. Her patents believed attending Hogwarts to be the best idea, however, as they had always put firm trust in Dumbledore.
Katie hopes to one day be a professional quidditch player. This being her 6th year, she has become to take this notion seriously. Her parents, who thought she would get over this whim, are trying to convince Katie to become a Healer, like her sister.

Role Play Sample:
Katie closed her eyes, hearing only the roar. The beast needed to be defeated. It wasn't as of she hadn't beat the beast before, but this time it was different; people were watching. People were roaring.
She opened her eyes, the three goal posts ahead of her coming into view. The Ravenclaw keeper clenched and uncletched his hands, waiting with anxiousness even greater than that or the deafening crowd for her to take the penalty shot. Katie looked around the field at her teammates. She made eye contact with each, each seemed to be silently wishing her luck, apparently not wanting to break her concentration, though the crowd was already taking care of that. This point would give them the lead.
Turning back towards the keeper, quaffle still on hand, she tilted her head down, looking forward, so she could almost she her eyebrows. She always did this for penalty shots; her team once told her it made her look terrifying. Bell positioned herself to shoot, paused, knowing he had the crowd exactly where she wanted them. There was jeering from the Ravenclaw side, as well as the Slytherins. Hufflepuff was chanting her name, while Gryffindor remained eerily silent. She could see a couple students shushing others, eyes on her.
Katie couldn't help but smile. It spread across her face slowly, wanting this moment to last a lifetime. After about two more minutes of dragging her time as the center of attention on and on, Katie threw the quaffle.
In her mind, she was calculating everything: the angle, the speed, what the keeper might do, his height compared to how far he was to each ring. On the outside, she knew that she made this one look easy; one quick toss and the ball flew through the left hoop.
The crowd erupted, the cheers overpowering the boos, and the Gryffindor team did what Katie did; the pretended it was no big deal. Each went back to their positions, beaming but uncelebratory. Katie only broke this unspoken rule for a second, doing a small victory dance on her broom. Laughter came from certain sections of the stands that had seen it, and Katie hid her smile.
