Playby: Bonnie Wright
Hair: long, naturally red, usually worn straight and down unless she's playing and then it's sometimes found in a pony tail
Eyes: blue
Height/Weight:5'5”, 130lbs
Distinguishing Marks: nothing unless you count the uncanny ability to look like a female Fred or George when angry or freckles
Build: thin, about average.
Style: Outside of school uniform, Ginny prefers a pair of jeans and t-shirts. She doesn't have a problem wearing the things their mother knits for the kids, but it won't be the first thing she'll pick out of a closet. A lot of her clothes are patched up, but she has the luxury of having most of her things being new as she is the only female child. Unfortunately, due to their financial situation, this means that Ginny doesn't get many new items of clothing.

Likes:
*her family, though they tease each other all the time
*magic, because who doesn’t?
*cats, she felt horrible when she thought she was responsible for Mrs. Norris’ petrification
*Harry Potter, she’s liked him since she first met him on his first year at the train station, though she isn't nearly as infatuated with him as when she was ten
*her friends, she's got some really good ones that she'd do just about anything for
*Quidditch – her favorite position is Chaser, though she played Seeker for the year Harry was banned and was admittedly not too bad, no Harry of course though
*that she can mimic others fairly well, it gets a good laugh out of most involved
*being popular - knowing several people and being on good terms with them comes in handy
*jokes - she finds them rather entertaining
*Defense Against the Dark Arts - of course it's her favorite class, being completely convinced that she'll have to use this in the near future, though she isn't happy about their new professor for the class
Dislikes:
*being afraid, which sucks because she's the only member of her family not allowed to know what's going on with the order, plus she's terrified for her family, Harry, and Hermione
*not being able to be at the Order meetings, she's afraid, sure, but she'd also like to know what's going on
*Draco Malfoy, not surprising the little snake
*getting weepy, she's rarely seen crying, though those close to her have probably witnessed it at least once
*being thought of as weak – this is something she really hates as she is definitely not weak
*Professor Snape - like Harry, she doesn't fully trust him
*Death Eaters - like anyone who associates with the Order, Ginny isn't a fan of Voldemort's followers
*Memories from her first year at Hogwarts - Chamber of Secrets and being possessed. Enough said.
*Being compared (physically) to Fred and George
*Percy - he's still a prat
*Cho Chang - though she doesn't hate the girl, she does have a bit of jealous feelings from when the Ravenclaw dated Harry
Strengths:
*brave – she was sorted into Gryffindor and is currently trying to decide how best to rebel against the current authority at Hogwarts
*determined – she isn't one to give up, though sometimes that can't be really her decision, such as with the Order meetings
*Caring – to those she's close to, Ginny can be very caring, just watch out when you get on her bad side
*Jinxes – she's actually very good at these, especially the bat-boggy hex, which she's sort of known for
Weaknesses:
*friends/family – they get under her skin, but she'd do anything for them, even Percy... maybe.
*stubbornness – it's really not good to not be able to admit when you're wrong and Ginny definitely has a difficult time with that
*jealous – really, she only gets this way when it comes to Harry, and she tries not to let it show because as of right now she has no claim over him, but she can't help that it's there, clawing at the back of her mind
*muggle studies – it's not like it should be difficult or anything, Ginny just can't understand how some people can live without a flying broom and she doesn't understand a lot of their stories and superstitions
Best Memory: Ginny has trouble picking a best memory. She's had a lot of good ones. Of course her life hasn't been perfect, but she isn't neglected. Finally getting to go to Hogwarts ranks pretty high on the good memory list, though. For ten years she'd stayed home while her brothers went to school. Hogwarts was a place Ginny always knew she wanted to go.
Mirror of Erised: For no one to get hurt. She isn't naïve; Ginny knows that there is a war coming whether she's allowed to take part in it or not. She also knows that it's very unlikely that her family will all make it out alive, if anyone makes it out of the war – sometimes it seems like the war is hanging in limbo, just waiting to start and will never end.
Patronus: A horse, she learned how to produce one her fourth year after loads of practice during the DA meetings.
Boggart: Being left out of the fight. It sounds strange – why would someone want to fight? But with the majority of her family in the Order, she's afraid of being left behind.
Dementor: Her first year at Hogwarts. Instead of being the outgoing person she was, she started the year as a shy girl walking in the footsteps of her brothers. She also began blacking out that year and not remembering long periods of time. She had acquired a diary from a former student and later realized that it was this diary, or whatever was in it, that was making her do horrible things around the school. She learned she had been possessed by Tom Riddle and had almost died that year.
Veritaserum: The Chamber of Secrets still haunts her, though she's fairly certain it can't harm her anymore and she acts, around her friends, as though that part of her life means very little to her.
Personality:
Temperamental ;;
It's really no secret that Ginny Weasley can get a little hot-headed. She has the temper of her mother, something that most of the Weasley's inherited. It doesn't take a whole lot to tick her off. Of course, she also tends to forgive rather easily if you're close enough to her. She's in a constant love/hate relationship with most of her family who can annoy her to no end but she would also do anything for. It isn't unusual for Ginny to jinx someone who has annoyed her or has gotten in her way. On the other side, she can be incredibly caring. Her family gets on her nerves but when it comes down to it she would do anything for them.
Determined;;
Whatever she sets her mind to, she does well. She has hopes and dreams just like the rest of the student body and she will die before she sees them get crushed. Ginny might not be the best at everything, but she certainly tries her hardest. At least, she tries to do her best at the things she's interested in.
Funny;;
Ginny seems to take after Fred and George when it comes to sense of humor. After a few practical jokes had been played on her by her brothers, Ginny began fighting jokes with jokes. She learned from the best though nothing she can do would ever stand out next to the twins' work. Of course, she can get a bit touchy if the joke is played on her or if it's a particularly nasty one and she won't hold back when she gets whoever got her. But generally speaking, she can shrug a joke off with the intent on playing one later. Her pranks are especially mean to people she either doesn't like or who have done something to her. Her humor isn't just related to practical jokes, though. She can laugh along with others at a sarcastic comment or an actual joke.
Independent;;
She firmly believes that she can take care of herself. Ginny would tell anyone who asks that her family babies her too much. Actually, a lot of her arguments stem from her desire to be as independent as possible. She grew up being looked after by her brothers because she was the youngest and the only female child. Ginny sort of resents this and small things like someone holding a door open for her or poking their nose too far into her personal life turn into horrible fights. Ginny wants to be viewed as a strong woman who can do anything that anyone else can do, but she feels like she's being held back a lot of the time when she isn't allowed to do certain things (like join the Order of the Phoenix, for example).
Stubborn;;
Sometimes, you just can't get Ginny to admit that she's wrong or that there might have been a better way to do things. She's been known to throw massive fits, yelling and throwing things, when her parents want to keep her out of something or disagree with her. She very much wants to be involved in what is going on in the real world and not limited to the life of Hogwarts and she'll wiggle any information out of anyone that she can. When in an argument, she has a difficult time admitting that there might be another point of view and sometimes can't really see where the other person is coming from.
Competitive;;
Like most of her family, Ginny is at her most comfortable on a broomstick hovering over the field of the Quidditch Pitch. While she isn't one to get overly depressed about a loss, she isn't going to deny that she loves to win. She goes to the extreme of yelling at Ron sometimes after practices when she thinks he's performed particularly awful. She wouldn't be above helping him if she thought it was a matter of practice instead of confidence.
Popular;;
Though she tends to think she's not very attractive and even though she tends to play practical jokes, Ginny is rather popular. It isn't unusual to find her at the center of a group of people from a combination of all years and houses (Slytherin excluded as she has a sort of unreasonable dislike for the lot of them). She supposes that it is because she can laugh things off (generally) and that her practical jokes are rather funny when they aren't played on the person laughing, but the truth is she really doesn't understand what people see in her.

History:
On the 11th of August 1981, the youngest of the Weasley children was born, just before the first Wizarding War ended. Finally, Arthur and Molly had their little girl. A red-headed, pale-faced, freckled little girl. She grew up in the Burrow in Devon, England with her six older brothers. She was a fun-loving little girl right from the start and soon learned to speak up or go unheard. At an early age she started developing her sense of humor, courtesy of her older brothers Fred and George. She took after her twin brothers, laughing at their practical jokes, though she wasn’t much of a fan when they were played on her. Everyone in the family was teased, but Ginny felt like she was teased the most just because she was the youngest and a girl.
As she grew older, Ginevra began mimicking the behaviors of her family members and people they had over. She has it down to an art now and can make several people laugh. She also learned to be the teaser instead of the teased all the time. She began sort of tag-teaming on her brother Ron with the twins. Ron is the closest brother in age to her, being only one year older, so she finds it easier to tease him, though she knows how to throw a joke regarding her other brothers as well. This isn’t to say that she’s cruel, just that when she was growing up, she had to learn how to keep up with her brothers.
Quidditch was a favorite past time of the Weasley family, but Ginny was never allowed to play with the boys when she was a child. She used to sneak the brooms though and practice flying. She saw it as taking charge of herself. Because she practiced in secret, it was a huge surprise when everyone found out that she was actually a really good flyer and a pretty decent player.
Ginny always wanted to go to Hogwarts, ever since she could remember she had at least one brother at the school. Bill started the year Ginny was born and every brother after that had attended the school. She loved magic and was fascinated with what it could do. She met Harry Potter on her first trip to Kings Cross Station, though she still had a year before she was able to attend Hogwarts. She liked Harry from the first time she saw him, though she wasn’t aware of who he was at the time. When Ron told them all who the kid they had all met was, Ginny became uneasy and could think of very little else. She was sad to see her brothers go and her be left behind, even crying and running after the train before waving goodbye, but her older brothers promised to send her owls. Sometimes she got them, sometimes she didn’t. Their owl wasn’t very good. She used the time her brothers were gone to practice flying on the brooms in the shed.
The next year she was allowed to attend Hogwarts. Being pure blood and a Weasley, she knew she would get her letter. She also knew which house she would be put in before she was even on the train. Everyone was a Gryffindor in her family. Because she was the first female to attend Hogwarts since her mother, she got new robes and clothes, which she thought her brother Ron was particularly jealous of though he never said anything that she knew of. It wasn’t until she went to Hogwarts, though that she realized her family was poor. She thought every family did hand-me-downs and knitted sweaters. Despite being poor, Ginny quickly became popular, though she was now very awkward around Harry, whom she was infatuated with, often running away when he spoke to her. Still, she rocked her patched up jeans and Hogwarts uniforms.
Her first year at Hogwarts was her most terrifying. Even with all that she went through in the later years, she is still haunted by what happened when she was eleven. The Chamber of Secrets was opened and Ginny kept blacking out, not remembering what she had done in the last few hours. Conveniently, it was during the time the messages were being left on the wall. She was frightened that she was the one causing all the trouble. She confided in the diary she had found in her cauldron and conversed with a Tom Riddle. He wanted to know an awful lot about Harry, and Ginny was so scared that she ended up throwing the diary in the girl’s bathroom. Later she found out that she was sort of responsible for some of the things that had happened, but that Tom Riddle was Lord Voldemort and had possessed her body through the use of the journal. Thankfully, Harry saved her from the Chamber and she admitted to him that she had done everything.
The summer before her third year, the family along with Harry and Hermione went to the Quidditch World Cup. Ginny was glad that Hermione was going because the two had formed a sort of friendship since she had started Hogwarts. Hermione encouraged Ginny to relax around Harry, and maybe start seeing someone else. The trip was cut short when the camp was attacked. That year was also the year of the Triwizard Tournament. Ginny was so excited to be asked to the ball, even if it was by Neville. Not that she had anything against Neville Longbottom, it was just that she would have preferred if Harry had asked her. Throughout the entire tournament, Ginny was very scared for Harry. She immediately believed him at the end of the year when he said that Voldemort was back. Of course she was afraid, just the previous year the Dark Lord had possessed her body.
Her fourth year at Hogwarts was eventful. Dolores Umbridge started teaching, if you could call it that, Defense Against the Dark Arts. The woman was a horrible teacher with an even worse personality. This was also the year that Ginny started really dating. Her first real boyfriend was Michael Corner who she started seeing just before the summer and whom she had met at the Yule Ball when Neville had taken her. She broke up with Corner fairly quickly once she realized that he was a very sore looser. That year Ginny replaced Harry on the Quidditch team as Seeker during his broom ban. Harry also started the DA that year and Ginny was more than happy to sign up for it. Unfortunately, that meant she had to watch Harry's short-lived relationship with Cho, which was a bit depressing, but she did her best not to let it bother her.
She is now in her fifth year at Hogwarts, not looking forward to her OWLS and after the death of Sirius, hoping that Harry won't be as depressed as he seemed to be so much the year before.

Role Play Sample:
The air was still warm with what was left of the summer. Ginny was more than thankful to be out of the Weasley residence for once. Bill had sent his new future wife to spend several days at the Burrow to properly meet his family. It came as no surprise that this upset the females of the residence, which usually just included Molly and Ginevra Weasley, but had for quite some time over the summer also housed Hermione Granger. Dumbledore had sent for Harry to spend a lot of the summer with the Weasleys as well, and because of that there were Order members in and out of the house. A mousy-haired Tonks came over a lot for a cup of tea. Ginny wasn't entirely sure what Nymphadora Tonks was so upset about unless it was the death of her cousin (and Harry's godfather) Sirius Black, but she was sure that the presence of the part Veela didn't help the matters much at all. Ginny had sworn up and down to everyone that she would have preferred Tonks as a sister-in-law to the thing she had affectionately been calling (along with the other women in the house) Phlegm.
The red-haired fifth year sat on a bench, on one side of her a Potions book, unopened and tattered, at her feet a bag that held pretty much her school life. She wasn't a very vain person, but the bag did hold a hair brush and a mirror. Mostly, it was full of other school books so she wouldn't have to run back and forth from the Common Room, which could be a pretty awkward place lately. It held too many people she was familiar with. That should have been a good thing, being surrounded by people she knew. In this case, those people were: Ron, her brother; Harry, the boy she'd liked since she was ten; Dean, her boyfriend who she seemed to constantly be on rocky ground with unless they were snogging; Neville, her best friend; and Hermione, the girl she'd spent the summer with making fun of Phlegm but who also knew that Ginny was still very much in love with Harry who happened to be Hermione's best friend. It was a bit complicated. Then there was Seamus, Dean's best friend, which wasn't much of an issue except that Ginny didn't always think the highest thoughts of Seamus.
Ginny was used to not having time alone; she was one of several children in the Weasley family so someone was always around, and she was popular at school. It didn't mean the girl didn't like a nice calm place every now and then, and she had thought she found one here in one of the corners of the courtyard. It was the late hours of a Saturday morning and people were probably mostly sleeping still, but Ginny had been woken up by one of the girls for breakfast. After putting on a pair of jeans and an olive-green half-sleeved shirt, Ginny made her way to the Great Hall, ate a quick breakfast, and made an excuse about having to study for OWLS, which she was obviously not doing. Instead she sat with her back against one of the stone walls, cherishing the nice weather that they were still having.
