Playby: Bonnie Wright
Hair: Ginny has long red hair that falls past her shoulders and to be completely honest, she is rather proud of it; it just shouts "Weasley". Most days she prefers to wear it down but there are days where she will get annoyed by it and toss it into a ponytail.
Eyes: She has been told by many that she has warm eyes, though Ginny herself doesn’t really see it. To her they are just brown, plain and simple. Part of her wishes that she had inherited her father’s blue eyes, like some of her other sibling.
Height/Weight: 5'2", 115 pounds
Distinguishing Marks: None really, unless you count a few faint scars from childhood and the light dusting of freckles on her face.
Build: Due to the fact that Ginny is a pretty active person, what with playing quidditch, her body build is a little on the slender side. She isn’t the tallest person, instead standing more around the average of five foot three, which is perfectly fine by her.
Style:
There is never a time that when going through Ginny's wardrobe that you will find something risque. Her dressing style is modest, perferring muggle clothing over that of the wizarding world. Most of the time you can find her in a simple, but nice, long sleeve top and jeans and a pair of flats.

Weaknesses: Proud, Temperamental, Stubbourn, Forcefull
Best Memory: To be honest, Ginny doesn't have just one happy memory that sticks out above the rest. Instead she thinks about whatever one pops into her head at the moment, whether it be from her childhood to last week. She has a lot of happy memories, to pick one over the others would be doing a shame to the rest.
Mirror of Erised: To become a professional quidditch player.
Patronus: A horse.
Boggart: Ginny's fears have changed over the years, to being possessed by Voldemort, to her loved ones getting hurt or killed.
Dementor:There are two distinct moments in her life that fit into this category. The fist being in her first year of Hogwarts when Ginny was possessed by Voldemort through a diary with part of his soul was attached to. To have done things and not even remember them, even to this day, years later, it is still something that still haunts her.
The second if being told in her fourth year that her father had been attacked by Voldemort's snake. It was a wake up call for Ginny. Sure, she knew that things were getting bad, but she had always thought of her parents as kind of invicible.
Veritaserum: It isn't as often as it used to be, but there are times where she still has nightmares about her first year.
Personality: [x]Proud: Her pride is one of her many flaws. Just like her confidence, it is very obvious that Ginny is a proud person. She has a hard time admitting defeat and even a more difficult time admitting she was wrong. It is rare that one will hear her apologize, though she has been known to do so when the situation calls for it.
[x]Lively: Part of it is being young, though most of it just has to do with her personality. Whatever the reason, Ginny is hardly ever seen with a frown. She is a very energetic person and her goal is to have as much fun as she possibly can. So far, she done well at achieving this goal.
[x]Stubborn: Oh yes, Ginny is one of the most stubborn people that you will ever meet. Once her mind is set on something, it is almost impossible to talk her out of it.
[x]Friendly: Ginny seems to have a certain aura about her that draws others to her. Whether it be from the small smile she usually wears that alludes that she may know something that the rest of the world has yet to discover, or even simply the way she carries herself, Ginny has become a pro when it comes to meeting others. When talking to her one on one, Ginny never lets her attention waver from the speaker, her brown eyes looking directly into theirs. It is something that has been known to leave some uncomfortable in her presence, as if by looking her in the eye, she’ll be able to see every thought in their head. This couldn’t be farther from the case, since Ginny wouldn’t even want to see every thought even if she could.
[x]Temperamental: While Ginny may be a relatively happy person, she can also have a fierce temper. It doesn’t take much to get her riled up; a wrong comment or action is enough to do the trick, and one will themselves faced with a hell freezing glare. More often than not, she ends up saying things that can be quite hurtful to those on the receiving end. If this happens, well don’t expect things to go back to normal anytime soon. Ginny has perfected the art of giving others the silent treatment over the years and with her ability to hold a grudge, it could be a long wait before she is ready to accept, or in some cases even hear, an apology.
[x]Confident: It is something that is obvious in every move Ginny makes. Unlike many of the girls her age, she is perfectly fine with who she is and has accepted her flaws as being a part of her that will most likely never change. If you can’t deal with that, well then there is no reason for her to spend any amount of time with you.
[x]Adventurous: As a child, there weren’t many things that scared Ginny. She was that one child who never backed down from a dare, no matter what it was. Now as fourteen year old, that side of her hasn’t changed much. It might be because of the whole teen thought process that nothing bad can happen to you, but whatever it is Ginny craves adventure. When told that something is too dangerous for her, or that she can’t do something, Ginny is the kind of person who will go ahead with it anyway just to prove someone wrong.
[x]Caring and Protective: When it comes to those she cares about, Ginny is extremely protective. No one messes with her family, no one. She’ll stick up for family and friends alike no matter what and will do anything to help them in any way she can. Some could even call her doting, and for a while she was, at least to her older brothers. Of course as she grew older and became more proud, she realized that it needed to stop.

History: Ginevra Molly Weasley was born on August eleventh to proud and happy parents Arthur and Molly Weasley. She was the youngest of their seven children, and the first girl to be born into the Weasley family in over several generations. Needless to say, Ginny had an extremely sheltered childhood. Her mother and father kept a close eye on her and instructed their sons to do the same. This didn’t stop some of them from teasing their younger sister and as a result Ginny grew up being able to hold her own against others. The Weasley family never seemed to have enough money and Ginny was always left getting second hand items and books. As she started growing, she did mange to get a few new robes, ones that weren't second hand and fit her a little better.
One by one, her brothers began to leave for Hogwarts and with each one, Ginny felt the feeling of being left behind growing stronger. Watching each of them, year upon year, board the Hogwarts express and leave made Ginny even more anxious for her acceptance letter. In the mean time, she took comfort in the letters that her brother sent home and the stories they told when they came back. The fact that she had Ron with her made the waiting slightly easier. The day that Ginny watched Ron leave for his first year at Hogwarts was one of the more difficult ones. It wasn’t that she didn’t love all her brothers the same, but Ron was the closest to her in age and, for most of her young life, had been her companion. This was also the first time she met Harry Potter and as fate would have it, wouldn’t be the last.
It would be a lie to say that Ginny’s crush on Harry hadn’t started from the first time that she happened to glance at him. Of course, at the time, it was such a small crush it could have practically been nonexistent. However, as the year went on, and she heard more about Harry from Ron’s letter and then eventually Ron himself, her crush on her brothers best friend began to grow. By the time that Ginny got her acceptance letter into Hogwarts, one of the happiest days of her life, her crush on Harry had grown greatly.
Her first year at Hogwarts started out normal. She was sorted into Gryffindor, not that it was really any surprise to those that knew her family, but Ginevra was still rather proud about when she wrote home to tell her parents. Yet even with that, and her small group of friends that she was getting, her first year proved to be one of the most stressful times of her life. Unknowingly to her, Lucius Malfoy had slipped Voldemort’s school diary into her bag when she had been shopping with her family for school supplies in Diagon Alley. It wasn’t long till Ginny began to write into the diary and although she had been worried about the fact that the diary was writing back to her, she soon took comfort in, relying on it like she would her closest friend.
After that, strange things began to happen around the school and rumors about the Champer of Secrets being opened and the heir of Slytherin returning started to spread. For the most part, Ginny was as much in the dark about the subject as the other students. She did after all have her own things to worry about. Lately, it seemed as though there were chunks of her day and night that she couldn’t remember, as if her mind had blanked out. It wasn’t till she came to covered in feathers that her fear began to take over and she realized that it was her that had been doing the terrible acts that had the school in an uproar.
To this day, Ginny can’t fully explain why she didn’t go to someone for help, since that surely would have been the more reasonable think to do. She can only say that at the time the fear had gotten the better of her and she thought that getting rid of the diary herself would be enough to put an end to the whole ordeal. Instead, it led to her being possessed by Voldemort and being brought down into the Chamber of Secrets to act as a sacrifice to bring Tom Riddle’s memory fully to life. Luckily, Harry and Ron saved her from such a fate and in doing so Harry destroyed the dairy, unknowingly destroying a part of Voldemort himself.
That summer proved to be a little easier for Ginny. Her father won the Daily Prophet Grand Prize Galleon Draw, seven hundred galleons to be exact. With the money, the family was able to go and visit their eldest Weasley son Bill in Egypt. The trip was something that Ginny will never forget, since it was rare that her family was able to afford such a treat. Of course, like all things the trip eventually came to an end and the Weasley family found themselves back in England and staying at the Leaky Cauldron. As fate would have it, Harry Potter, was staying there as well and Ginny found herself acting shy and embarrassed around him. Thinking back on it, the mere memory of her actions makes her cringe.
On September first, Ginny boarded the Hogwarts Express and found herself quickly separated from her brothers. She made do with sitting with some friends from most of the trip until the train came to a complete stop, at which point she found herself searching the cabins for her siblings. After stumbling from one compartment to the next, Ginny finally found them, though not long before the Dementors came. As a result of being possessed by Tom Riddle’s memory, Ginny had an extremely reaction to the Dementor’s presence. Her skin lost all color and it took her a short while to realize that she actually shaking, eventually breaking down into sobs as the memories of her previous year hit her full force. Luckily, Hermione, who was always more perceptive than others gave her credit for, was there to comfort her, something that Ginny is thankful for even to this very day. The rest of her second year passed by rather uneventually compared to her first, something that Ginny really didn't mind at all.
The summer before her third year, Hermione spent a lot of time at the Burrow and the two girls bonded over sharing a room together. Used to be surrounded by boys, Ginny found it nice to have a girl she could talk and went to Hermione with some of her problems. It was Hermione who told Ginny to be herself around Harry and even to try dating a few other guys. Ginny did her best to follow Hermione's advice and began to be more relaxed around Harry. It was also this summer that Ginny's father, Arthur Weasley, managed to get tickets for the World Quidditch Cup final. Ginny attended, along with the majority of her brothers, Hermione, and Harry. The Death Eaters attack after the Irish win managed to shake Ginny up pretty badly.
Upon her return to Hogwarts, Ginny found that her school was playing host to the Triwizarding Tournament. It was all a rather exciting time, with new students visiting from other schools as well as the game themselves. Having a close friendship with Neville Longbottom, Ginny said yes to him when he asked her to be his date to the Yule Ball. Of course, she was a little disappointed later when Ron mentioned that Harry take her, due to lack of a date, but she stayed loyal to Neville and attended the dance with him. It was at the dance that Ginny first met Michael Corner and the two began dating at the end of her third year.
As a result of Voldemort’s return, Ginny’s family became very active in the Order of the Phoenix and the family was moved to stay at the headquarters, 12 Grimmauld Place. Most of days were either spent with Ron and Hermione or helping her mother clean the house in an attempt to make it more livable. Because of her age, Ginny was never really allowed into the meeting that the order had, and as a result spent a lot of time trying to eavesdrop. Ginny often relied on Hermione to fill her in on things that she had missed.
Her fourth year at Hogwarts found Ginny with a new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor, Professor Umbridge. It soon became apparent that Umbridge was only teaching a theory-based class instead of actual spells and as a result Ron, Harry, and Hermione decided to come up with a group that could actually practice things that they would need to know. Ginny joined the group, dragging her then boyfriend Michael and some of his friends along with her. It was Ginny who came up with the name for group, suggesting that they use Dumbledor’s Army. During her time in the group, Ginny was able to show her talent with defensive spells.
Near the end of the year, Harry, Fred, and George were banned from Quidditch, giving Ginny the chance to try out for the team. Much to everyone’s shock, Ginny made the cut and actually proved to quite the player. It was then revealed that Ginny had been breaking into the shed and practicing on her brothers’ brooms. Of course the happy time came to an end when Ginny was informed of the attack on her father one night by Voldemort’s snake, Nagini. Along with her brothers and Harry, Ginny was sent back to 12 Grimmaulds Place. It was during this time that Ginny learned of Harry’s suspicion of being possessed by Voldemort and railed on him for not asking for help. Later that year, Ginny went with Harry, Hermione, Luna, and Neville to the Ministry of Magic in an attempt to rescue Sirius, not knowing that the whole thing was a trap. They were encountered by Death Eaters and were forced into a fight. By the time members of the Order of the Phoenix arrived, Ginny had suffered a broken ankle and was no longer able to fight.

The room was dark, not pitch black, but dark enough that it took Ginny a few minutes for her eyes to adjust as she glanced around at her sleeping dorm mates. All of them were dozing peacefully, their light breathing the only noise to fill the room aside from the occasional rustling sound of someone shifting in bed. Letting out a sigh of her own, Ginny turned over onto her back, her eyes now starring up at the empty space above her. The noises weren’t what one would call loud, but to her it sounded as if they were being broadcasted over a speaker system. Part of her wanted to blame said sounds with her inability to get some shut eye but she knew that doing so would be a lie. Ginny had after all been living in this dorm with the same girls for five years now. If it was anyone’s fault that she couldn’t slip into dream land, it was her own.
Truth be told insomnia was steady becoming a part of her life. Her experience with it had dated back to the past summer after returning home for the end of her fourth year. It wasn’t terrible and no way near as bad as it had been the summer after her first year, but it still occurred every now and again. No one in her family had really seemed to notice, something that Ginny was thankful for, and seeing as it only happened at the most once a month Ginny just didn’t feel the need to tell anyone. During the summer it had been easy to deal with it since she didn’t have to get up early every morning. Here at Hogwarts though, well that was another story. She had classes to be at in the morning and just the mere thought of sitting through something like history of magic with little to no sleep was not something that Ginny look forward to. Staying awake in the class was hard enough at it was, she didn’t need a sleepless night to add to the temptation.
Running a hand through her slightly tangled hair, Ginny realized that she wasn’t going to fall asleep anytime soon and that staying in this bed just waiting to do so wasn’t going to help matters. Tossing the covers off of her, Ginny sat up in bed. The night air hit her bare arms causing a shiver to run down her spin and she instantly reached for the sweater she kept by her. Sliding it on, Ginny then stood up from the bed, her hand automatically grabbing the book on the nightstand next to her. Then, moving carefully so as not to wake anyone, Ginny made her way to the door and out into the hallway.
If she had been at home at the burrow she would have had a few options about where to go. Yet since she was at Hogwarts and seeing as it was far past curfew her only choice was the common room. Closing the door to her dorm as quietly as she possibly could, Ginny couldn’t help but notice the sudden lack of sound that seemed to settle around her. Not that this was really any surprise since most of her fellow Gryffindors were probably enjoying their dreams, completely oblivious to anything outside of them. This was made even more evident when she reached the common room to find it entirely empty save for herself. It was a rare thing to find the room in such a state and without a second thought Ginny quickly crossed the room and sat down on the couch near the fire place which, luckily for her, still had a fire going.
Settling into the soft cushions, Ginny pulled her legs up onto the couch and stretched them out, enjoying the space. She then took the book in her hand and opened to the spot marked, her eyes taking the in the words printed clearly on the page. If she couldn’t sleep then Ginny could at least get something productive done.
