Hair: Ron's hair is red, just like the rest of the Weasley family. It isn't short, but it isn't particularly long either. It is long enough to cover his ears, but it's by no means as long as it was in his fourth year (how he was allowed to walk around looking like that he has no idea). He doesn't style his hair, but prefers to just jump out of bed and get on with the day.
Eyes:He has green eyes, and blonde eyelashes. His eyes aren't particularly large; one wouldn't see them and instantly be drawn into them, but they are often shining with some kind of hidden amusement... though that is becoming rarer now that they are all faced with the challenges that lay ahead of them.
Height/Weight: He is 5' 11" and weighs about 155 pounds.
Distinguishing Marks: Various small scars scattered across his body; mainly from scraps with his brothers when he was younger and fighting Voldemort. Nothing major or obvious, though.
Build: He is of a fairly average build, though it borders on slightly buff from playing Quidditch and running away from literally everything during his years at Hogwarts.
Style: Ron's mum has an annoying habit of ensuring that everything he ever wears is about 100 years old and probably some sort of awful knitwear. His Christmas present every year is a hideous jumper and, whereas in his early years at Hogwarts he was embarrassed by this, he has come to accept it. He is a jeans and jumper kind of guy, regardless of whether or not they are hand-me-downs. Though he is well aware that he can sometimes look like a right prat, he no longer cares. With Voldemort running around he hardly has time to stop to think about whether people would approve of his appearance. So long as he's not dancing around in frilly pink frocks (which Ron wouldn't put pass his mum given the appearance of his dress robes in fourth year) he's happy. He is trying his hardest to avoid the awful knitwear, though… Thank Merlin for the school dress code.

Best Memory: His best memory was when he, Harry and Hermione defeated the troll in their first year. It was their first adventure, and Ron had actually felt proud of himself for having saved Hermione (with Harrys help, of course). From that moment on they had been best friends
Mirror of Erised: To be remembered and recognised, maybe even to be famous for something. He wouldn't complain if someone decided they wanted to put his face on a chocolate frog card either. At the moment he just wants to get through Hogwarts without being killed and with half decent grades. He knows how disappointed his mum will be should he do badly... And Hermione would probably throw something at his head.
Patronus: Ron's patronus is a Jack Russell Terrier.
Boggart: Ron's biggest fear is, of course, spiders. Some people think him stupid for finding them so scary, but there are bloody giant ones in the Forbidden Forest, for Merlin’s sake! Someone needs to take the spider threat seriously if they're not going to be killed by them (which he very nearly had been in his second year).
Dementor: His worst memory was when Ginny had been dragged into the Chamber of Secrets during his second year. He always tries to protect his little sister, sometimes too much, and to know that she had been dragged into danger right under his nose made him simultaneously upset and angry.
Veritaserum: He's falling in love with Hermione. This is so secret in fact that he scarcely even knows it himself.
Personality:
▪ FUNNY. Ron can make a joke out of almost any situation (unless it involves him dying because, well, that’s not fun…) His jokes can take a lot of getting used to, however. A lot of people who don't know him might find them annoying or inappropriate, but once people understand his sense of humour, they normally find him relatively funny. He is fairly easy-going and light-hearted in most everyday situations. He would normally try to make the most of a situation (unless it involved spiders, in which case he is sure that he is going to die) but in dark times he finds it increasingly difficult to do so. He rarely lets anyone see that, though.
▪ BLUNT. Ron can be very blunt. He rarely stops to think about what he is saying. Sometimes he does push things too far, but he's not outwardly trying to offend people... Unless they're a Malfoy, in which case he probably is. He's constantly says things that his parents would almost certainly not be proud of, including common use of the phrase 'bloody hell' and insulting people before he's even realised that he's done it. He's normally quite honest though, unless trying to worm his way out of trouble.
▪ SECRETLY INSECURE. Though he was never the smartest of the trio, he is ‘street smart’ and knows far more than them about the wizarding world given the fact that he was brought up in it from an early age. He often feels overshadowed by Harry and Hermione however, and generally only comments about things in a joking manner, often worried that others would disregard his opinion. He spent the vast majority of his early years at Hogwarts being jealous of Harry’s fame or Hermione’s intelligence, and is still jealous of any guys that Hermione talks to. He is perhaps not as confident in his magical abilities as Hermione and Harry are, which often means that he is more likely to follow their plans than to come up with some of his own. Having so many older brothers, Ron often feels as though everything he does is not important since his older siblings have already achieved it.
▪ LOYAL Ron is very loyal and will stand by Harry and Hermione (or in fact any of the people on their side in the fight against You-Know-Who) but he’s not afraid to point out if he thinks a plan is stupid. He has an annoying habit of stating the obvious in a situation. He has learnt to put his personal phobias aside in order to join his best mates in the fight again You-Know-Who.
▪ IMMATURE. Ron is always seen as quite immature and insensitive. He has no idea how to behave around girls, and often stumbles over his words or says something totally inappropriate or stupid. He can be very clumsy, especially when he is nervous, and sometimes appears quite idiotic. His immaturity is the reason why people often find him funny, however.
▪ LAZY. Though Ron will get up and fight in a war if it means saving his best friends, he can't deny that he'd much rather be tucked up in bed with some chocolate frogs and a butter beer. He tends to look for the easiest ways to get a job done. He also doesn't have the patience to read books or study for extensive periods of time. He doesn't experiment with magic like Fred and George, either.

Father: Arthur Weasley, 46, Ministry Worker, Pureblood. Ron, though he can often be embarrassed by his father, has a good relationship with him. He is more easy going than his mother, and so he finds it easier to talk to him about his problems (which normally involve Harry, Hermione and being killed by Death Eaters/You-Know Who). His dad can sometimes be too protective of him, but Ron knows that he can always find help in his father should he need it.
Mother: Molly Weasley, 47, Housewife, Pureblood. Molly is a lot stricter than Arthur with their children, and it would be fair to say that Ron is absolutely flaming terrified of her. She is the one that will scold them should they put a toe out of line, something which Ron has found happens to him a lot. Sometimes Ron thinks that his mum might actually prefer Harry or Hermione to him, but that thought never lasts too long. Despite Molly's over-protectiveness, she does try to spoil her children as much as she possibly can. This is apparent with all the home cooking that Ron loves so much.
Siblings:
Bill Weasley, 26, Curse Breaker for Gringotts Bank. Ron gets on particularly well with his oldest brother. Though he doesn't see him as much as some of his other siblings, he often finds it easier to hold a conversation with him. Bill doesn't tease Ron as much as the siblings that are closer to his age, which he is grateful for. He looks up to Bill and admires him.
Charlie Weasley, 24, Dragonologist. As a child Ron was able to talk to Charlie about anything and it would be true to say that his relationship with his second eldest brother was slightly better than that with his oldest brother. They could tease each other, but it never got to the point where either of them were angry or fed up by it. However, Charlie moved away to pursue his career with dragons and Ron saw less and less of him as the years went on. Though he still looks up to him, Ron doesn't have as much contact with him, and hence is not as close to him now as he is with Bill.
Percy Weasley, 20, Ministry Worker. It would be fair to say that Ron thinks that Percy is a git. That doesn't mean that he doesn't love him obviously- he is family, hence Ron is obliged to love him- but he wouldn't choose to hold a conversation with him. Since Percy's personality differs so much to that of the rest of the family, he often ended up being the butt of many of their jokes. Ron enjoys teasing him and moaning about him to anyone that will listen. In the past Percy has tried to be a role model to Ron, but the younger Weasley would rather follow after his other siblings. He still holds a grudge against Percy after he cut ties with his family last year, though during that period Ron had been the only one that he had contacted. The fact that when he had been contacted his brother asked him to sever his links with Harry was not particularly complimentary though. Basically, Ron thinks he's a bit of a prat.
Fred & George Weasley, 18, Owners of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. The twins tease Ron more than any of his other siblings. Sometimes Ron finds it funny, and sometimes they manage to cheer him up, but most of the time it just drives him insane. When he was made a prefect last year Fred and George mocked him endlessly about it, which he didn't appreciate. Sometimes their teasing infuriates him, and he hates it when they play practical jokes on him, but they are his brothers. He never used his prefect position against them (which he might have done had it been Percy) and they make him laugh more than any of his other siblings. They do help him out occasionally though, such as when they gave him their copy of 'Twelve Fail-Safe Ways to Charm Witches.'
Ginny Weasley, 15, Student in Gryffindor House at Hogwarts. Though Ron is fiercely protective of his only sister and would do anything for her, the two of them seem to argue a lot. He struggles to get his head around the fact that his little sister is popular with the opposite sex, and doesn't like the majority of the guys that she dates. He'll point this out to her, and normally everyone else around him, too. Ron dislikes how she teases him, but sometimes he can put up with it. She is his only younger sibling so he will often tease her more so than his brothers, and he also feels like he needs to protect her. She is the closest to him in age and so he sees her more than he does the rest of his siblings, which simply means that she has more time to get on his nerves.
Others: Septimus Weasley (paternal grandfather), Cedrella Weasley (paternal grandmother), Fabian Prewett (maternal uncle), Gideon Prewett (maternal uncle).
Hometown: The Burrow, just outside Ottery St. Catchpole.
Current Residence: The Burrow/Hogwarts.
History: Ron Weasley was born on 1st March 1980 at the Burrow, which is located just outside Ottery St. Catchpole. He is the second youngest of seven children, only being older than his only sister Ginny. As a child he had to put up with a lot of teasing and torment from his older brothers (and there were five of them...) who naturally assumed that they could wind him up because he was the youngest boy in the family. He was therefore grateful that he had a younger sister who he could tease a little. This makes it sound as though Ron had an unhappy childhood, but in fact it was far from it. Despite the occasional teasing from his older brothers (and sometimes even Ginny, embarrassingly) Ron had a good relationship with all of his siblings. They were a very close knit family... who just so happened to drive each other up the wall sometimes.
He had always been eager to go to Hogwarts, especially after hearing the stories about the school from his older brothers. He wanted to do what they did and experience the magic of it all, but of course he had to wait until he reached the ripe old age of eleven. When he did eventually turn eleven, he was more than happy to go to Hogwarts. Of course he would miss his parents, but the majority of his siblings were still at school anyway so he didn't think much of it.
Ron met Harry Potter for the first time on Platform nine and three quarters and instantly befriended him (Harry had needed help with understanding the concept of running at a wall.) The same day they met Hermione Granger on the train and, though Ron thought she was absolutely mental at first, they ended up spending a lot of time together. His first year at Hogwarts saw him being thrown into an adventure that was far beyond anything he had ever imagined. Being friends with Harry Potter meant being dragged into trouble, he quickly came to realise. Having stumbled across a three-headed dog, Ron quickly found himself trying to find the Philosophers Stone before it fell into the wrong hands. To cut a long story short, Ron came to realise that Hogwarts was going to be far more eventful than he had previously imagined.
His second year at Hogwarts was arguably the worst. His little sister had found Tom Riddle's diary and had been taken to the Chamber of Secrets, his best mate was being accused of being the Heir of Slytherin, and Hermione had been petrified. He found it difficult to deal with all the emotional strain as well as the task that lay ahead of them. Alongside Harry, and with quite a lot of help from Hermione and Moaning Murtle, they were able to track down the Chamber itself. Of course Ron had to get stuck with a nutcase teacher who lost his memory, so he never actually saw Tom Riddle or the inside of the Chamber, but he was beginning to realise just how difficult it was being friends with Harry Potter.
In his third year, Ron's rat 'Scabbers' caused a lot of trouble. After chasing it towards the Whomping Willow, Ron was dragged into a hole by a dog who just so happened to be the Animagus of Sirius Black. With help from Lupin, it became apparent that Scabbers was in fact Peter Pettigrew in disguise. Ron was knocked out by a spell from Pettigrew and spent the rest of the time in Hospital while Harry and Hermione travelled back in time to save both Buckbeak and Sirius. This was not Ron's favourite year at Hogwarts... He happened to like that rat.
His fourth year saw the arrival of the Tri-Wizard Tournaments at Hogwarts. When Harry's name was pulled from the Goblet, Ron automatically assumed that he had cheated his way in and they didn't speak until after the dragon task. He also got very jealous of Hermione being escorted to the Yule Ball by Victor Krum, though of course he blamed his behaviour on anything but jealousy. This year was certainly an eventful one for Ron and he began to realise just how important Harry and Hermione were to him.
Ron was made a prefect in his fifth year at Hogwarts and he also co-founded Dumbledore's Army, where Defence Against The Dark Arts was taught to students after it had been banned by Umbridge. He also joined the Quidditch team, though was embarrassed when Slytherins start taunting him about how he would be the one who would allow them to win. At the end of the year he was yet again involved in another duel; this time alongside other members of Dumbledore's Army at the Department of Mysteries.

Role Play Sample:
Ron had been sitting awake for a good few hours. He might have drifted in and out of sleep a couple of times but if he had he was always woken up. He half expected to be invaded by a tonne of death eaters... or to find Lavender creeping around at the end of his bed. It was the sort of crazy thing that would happen to him. Every time he squinted, attempting to somehow see through the darkness after being too lazy to reach for his wand, he was reassured that he was at home. Nothing could find him here. Or he bloody well hoped not.
He had heard several people creeping downstairs but of course he thought nothing of it. His family was huge; it was only natural that a few of them wouldn't be in bed. It was only when he heard muttering outside his bedroom window that his curiosity heightened. Assuming that a couple of death eaters hadn't stopped by for a quick catch-up on his front porch, he came to the conclusion that some people weren't just out of bed to grab a quick drink.
He swung his legs out of bed and made his way to the window. He could see a faint glow of light, but couldn't see under the porch to make out who was there. Judging by the voices he assumed that it was a male and a female... Though knowing what his brothers were like, it was probably just Fred and George joking around with some new invention of theirs. Still, Ron wanted to know what the hell was going on. It wasn't like he was getting much sleep up here anyway.
He wearily rubbed his eyes and made for the light of the hallway. He was almost blinded by the sudden brightness. With his eyes only open enough for him to see where he was going, he tentatively made his way downstairs and towards the front door. His hair was sticking out to one side, his feet were bare and he was still in his pjs, but he didn't care. It wasn't like the whole world was going to be waiting for him downstairs, was it?!
Following the light to the front porch, he stretched and opened the door rather abruptly without considering the fact that it might have made the people there jump. He looked at them for a moment. He rubbed his eyes and attempted to understand what he was seeing. Harry and Ginny? Harry and Ginny?! But they had split up! His mouth flung open for a moment and he couldn't help the protective instinct that welled up in his stomach. He could see that they were getting bloody close this evening, and Ron did want Harry playing with his little sisters emotions. Either he was with her or not. He couldn't have it both ways.
Taking a deep breath, he attempted to calm himself for a moment. Dumbledore's death had hit everyone hard, Harry especially. He was going to have to be sensitive... Or as sensitive as Ron could be, anyway. "Errr... What's going on? I mean, I'm sure there are better places to hang out than on the doorstep." It had been an attempt at a joke to (hopefully) cheer them up, but Ron's heart wasn't in it. His grin quickly faltered. "Budge up then." He forced himself into a space next to Ginny, hoping that no funny business would happen while he was sitting here with them.
