"Oh, Hogsmeade weekend. How nice it is of you to grace us with your presence once again!" Susan said to herself as she entered the small little town. It was such a quaint place, she almost wished she could live there rather than be stuck at Hogwarts all the time. At least here she could breath fresh air, and not get bombarded with questions about her dead family all the time. It was quite the nice change.
Walking along the main street, she watched as students traversed along in groups as big as ten, laughing and smiling as they went from shop to shop, their pockets shrinking but their bags growing as the walked. They seemed almost oblivious to the world outside, where they weren't protected by Dumbledore and the rest of the teachers at school. No, they were lost in happy thoughts, excited for everything to come their way. It had to be so nice, she thought, having a family back home, getting letters... Sure, Susan did- her uncle sent them all the time. But it was still a bit lonely, compared to the people who got quite a few presents for all of the holidays they didn't go home for. She shook her head. Enough feeling bad about herself for the day. It was time to have a good day, for once.
Glancing around, the redhead finally found the shop she wanted to go to more than anything. Honeydukes. What she found to be a very amazing place. Her chocolate stock was running low, she really needed to go get some more. Besides, it was always fun to send some back to her uncle, he liked it just as much as she did. Of course she blamed him for her addiction. Pushing her windblown hair behind her ear, Susan entered the shop, the sweet smell of candy immediately overtaking her. It was in this shop, and this shop alone, that Susan always broke her weight goals. She just couldn't leave the stuff. And besides, she had been doing so well recently, it wouldn't matter.
Smiling at the cashier, she slowly began to walk up and down the aisles, ready to collect everything she could afford. And hopefully, it would be a lot.

Things had been rather insane lately, what with all the rumours and such flying around her head all the time. Angelina didn't know where to turn anymore when it came to the truth of things, knowing that the Ministry couldn't really be trusted. After all, weren't they the ones who basically said that Harry was a liar and Dumbledore was a crack-pot old fool? But it wasn't as if they hadn't retracted those statements after last year, she thought with a smirk of amusement. Then again, she thought, there was hardly anything to be amused about. With someone like Voldemort running around freely once again, a great many people were now in danger simply because of the family they had been born into, or the fact that neither of their parents were affiliated with magic before them. Angelina herself was a half-blood, and though she could trace her father's line back a ways in terms of magic, she knew her mother's blood was what put her life on the line now.
The brunette shook her head, tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear as she continued down the cobblestone road and toward the old village that she was so familiar with. Despite being out of Hogwarts only recently, she was still comfortable with strolling along the pathways of Hogsmeade as if there was nothing to trouble her, taking great pleasure in the peace that still remained. There was no telling when things would take that horrible turn for the worst, leaving people to only guess at what was going to happen in the near future. There was no telling when it would all fall to pieces around their ankles...
Without a real thought of where she was going, Angelina's feet carried her to the doorway of Honeydukes, the sweet shoppe she had spent quite a few hours in back during her school days. There was always something rather relaxing about being in there, swamped with the idea of what tasty sugar confection would tug at her taste buds. And as she wandered inside, she noticed just how many other people seemed to be thinking the same thing. She paused by the bin of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, bold enough to pour some of them into a plastic bag and glanced over at the girl beside her. "If you don't mind my input, I'd avoid the Blood Lollipops and go with the Sugar Quills. But don't ever use them in Flitwick's class if you still have him. He knows them from real quills now."

Being halfblood, like so many others, Susan knew the terrible things that could be done to her. It wasn't too bad, of course. Others had it worse. But everything was so confusing, half the time the redhead didn't know what to do. It just seemed strange, the world, what with Voldemort's return and all. That's why she went to Hogsmeade this weekend. It seemed fewer and fewer students did, feeling less safe in the village... But it was the opposite for Susan. She knew Hogsmeade was safe, it always would be. No matter what. And it was so easy to forget all of your stresses when you were in the small village, all of the stores did that to you. That was really her main reason for going by herself. She didn't have to attempt to talk to one of her friends. She could just think.
For once- and very surprisingly- Honeydukes was basically completely empty. No student laughter, no chatting. It was kind of nice... But at the same time, she wanted the sounds of others. It was a safety kind of thing. Oh well, right? She'd see someone sooner or later. Staring at a rack on candy, Susan wasn't even paying attention to what delicious things lay in front of her. The redhead was much more wrapped up in her mind, where she could imagine living in a world of sweets, if she wanted too. She didn't have to worry. Picking up a few Chocolate Frogs, Susan tallied how much she needed to get her uncle. She always promised him at least a few pieces. Probably just because he wanted to watch her chocolate intake... But she just thought of it as a loving gesture from niece to uncle. Simple as that.
"If you don't mind my input, I'd avoid the Blood Lollipops and go with the Sugar Quills. But don't ever use them in Flitwick's class if you still have him. He knows them from real quills now."
Susan jumped slightly at the sound of someone talking. More specifically, someone talking to her. That was something she wasn't expecting, now she'd have to plan for it. Smiling, she looked to her companion. A girl, a bit older than her... Most likely a Hogwarts graduate. "Thanks, that sounds like a good plan." she responded, grabbing a few Quills and adding them to her pile, "Oh yes, he checks them all the time now. Just to make sure, apparently they explode easier than the real ones." she grinned. Flitwick was always so great about them, making sure the first years didn't have the wrong things. Apparently the older students sold them them or something... Must have been taking after the twins, right? Hogwarts always needed pranksters.
