Astoria is young, fun and loyal. She is seems to be your typical manipulative, self centered, loathing Slytherin at first who has style and class and money but she is so much more than that. Dear Astoria is a very independant, light hearted, sneaky and intelligent young woman and sure she has a big mouth on her and has her eye on the prize or rather her prize but she sees the bigger picture. She hopes to change things for the better not one who really cares about the blood purity crap and would love for nothing more than to prove people wrong about Slytherins... or some of them. You will find yourself either laughing with her, crying from her or getting into fights with her.

These two probably do not get along, but they aren't in the same year so they might not even run into each other except in the hallways or the grounds since they won't have any classes together. Ginny has a very unreasonable dislike for all Slytherins, so she'd not like Astoria just for that, but they'd probably bump heads regardless.
