Always the tone of surprise --Hermione

So I've spent three days looking for a decent plot page that would suit Hermione but alas, I couldn't find one - much to my frustration. I give up, so here we go!)

Determined, hard-working and focused Hermione is an excellent student, she has a great love for knowledge and could spend hours on end with her nose happily stuck in a book. This thirst for information isn’t only the result of her curiosity and of her will to achieve good marks; Hermione feels the need to prove herself, and yes, to outdo her classmates as well. She likes her facts and being able to provide a correct answer, she is very collected and in control. The negative view some hold of Muggle-Borns may have strengthened Hermione’s over-achieving inclination. The young woman is tenacious, opinionated and argumentative, she always stands her ground and will try to make you see the light if you’re in the wrong. Due to the fact that she is rather used to being right and confides in factual knowledge, she can be very skeptical in the face of dubious, unproven concepts. She is very logical and will believe only what is rational and proved to be existing.

Hermione has a tendency to be rather blunt with her opinions, not always the most tactful when it comes to expressing her stand –especially in the first years she spent at Hogwarts- but nonetheless, she is very compassionate and particularly sensitive towards those who are mistreated and at disadvantage. Her social conscience is outstanding, she is one of the few who act on it – even when the creatures she is trying to help REALLY feel they don’t need it but Hermione is somewhat bossy and sometimes holds the wrong belief of knowing what is right or best for everyone. She is always willing to help her friends – and Ronald needs to understand that “helping” doesn’t mean letting him copy her homework- whether it is for school work or for personal problems, although Hermione has been known to keep her nose out of other people’s business and safely tucked in a book. She isn’t prying but being very observant, she often feels she doesn’t need to ask and she doesn’t want to intrude on one’s privacy. She will, though, make a comment in passing and offer words of advice if requested.

She is very dignified, and when her pride is hurt or someone tries to get to her she turns to her superior tone and manners. She can be a bit snotty from time to time, over-sensitive – usually as a consequence of Ron’s accidental insults- but over all Hermione is a very supportive friend. Her level-headedness helps keep things in perspective for Harry and she will dedicate all of her time and energy to help those she cares about, she is very devoted to what she commits to. Compared to her first years at Hogwarts, Hermione is less stuck-up and has even broken the school rules a few times. Her priorities have evidently changed, and while academic success still makes the top of the list it is outflanked by the affection she feels for Harry and Ron and the cause they’re fighting for. She cares a great deal for her two best-friends –more than cares for one…- and she often worries about Harry. She has also recently found out that she can be prey to the sting of jealousy, although she would never admit it out loud and will deny it fiercely if asked. She hardly admits it to herself, finding jealousy to be a petty emotion beneath her.

I'm open to any plot ideas but as for the romance, Hermione has come to terms with her feelings for Ron so I don't see flings or anything of that sort happening. There will be a time when Ron will be with Lavender and she'll want to make him jealous... that time has not come yet though :P

Well, they obviously love each other. Oh, Dramione <3 Not really a ton to say here, other then the fact Draco finds her to be an insufferable know it all, and the fact she's a muggleborn and one of Potter's best friends even irks him more. Not to mention all the bad history between them besides all that. Since last year, he'd probably hate her and everyone else who went to the Ministry even more, because they're the reason his father's in jail and he has to kill Dumbledore, which he's starting to have his doubts about. Er, I think that's about it? I'd love to thread sometime though, it's always fun to fuel Draco's hatred xD

I think that's about it, yes. There's a lot of history here, none of it pleasant - although Ron and Harry still cherish the memory of Hermione slapping Draco :P Whilst Hermione may not like him, she isn't as convinced of his new Death Eater status as Harry is, she isn't indulging Harry's suspicions openly for instance. Most times she'd rather ignore Draco's snide comments and retort on occasion coldly, keeping the 'conversation' short - otherwise it is likely that either Ron or Harry will jump to her defense and end up attacking Draco. That's all that came to mind, we know how they are xD We should definitely thread sometimes :)

hermione and amelia

They seem to have a lot in common, but I feel like Hermione is friendlier than Amelia is. Amelia loves to read too, so they'd probably exchange Muggle literature or something, seeing as they're not very likely to find other people who are as invested in both reading and the non-magical world as they are. Amelia has probably heard of the time Hermione punched Draco and now she holds a great deal of respect for her.

They seem to have quite a lot in common, indeed. Both Muggleborns and Gryffindors, both love reading - even though Hermione's idea of recreational reading is a bit different from Amelia's :P I think they would get along and have nice chats in the Library, discussing classes, the Muggle world in relation to the wizarding world and such :)

I think that Justin and Hermionie would be able to get along, even if they weren't really close friends or anything. She would probably keep her distance a bit because of how he doubted Harry in their second and fourth years, but I think their time in the DA would have helped to smooth that out a bit. They're both muggleborns, like reading, and would at least vaguely know each other from the DA, so I think they would be kinda-sorta friends who might study or chat every once in a while. Thoughts?

Hi xD I think Justin and Hermione would get along, especially after Justin defended Harry during fifth year and showed his loyalty by joining Dumbledore's Army; she still remembers that he was one of those who doubted Harry of course but after the support he showed she is willing to forgive his gullibility. They could maybe run into each other in the Library?

I don't see them as being friends, she'd have nothing against Hermione being a muggle born but I simply think these two would clash a lot and probably end up in a verbal fight here and there. I do think though that Astoria would envy the fact that people listen to Hermione and not just brush her off. Perhaps though the two could come to an understanding and develop a form of friendship without calling it that. Thoughts?

Hiiii xD I think Hermione would find Astoria a little spoiled and would disapprove of her tendency to break the school rules, what with her being a Prefect and all. If they got into an argument, which is likely considering their personalities, I see Hermione getting a haughty attitude - which isn't something unusual for her, haha - and be indignant that the young Slytherin dares to question her words.

You have Minerva McGonagall and Hermione Granger. Minerva may be strict, but she cares a great deal for her students and Hermione is no exception. So that's a teacher/student relationship right there. Maybe Hermione can consider her something a bit more? I don't know. Throwing ideas here.

I think we can safely say that McGonagall is Hermione's favorite teacher; she is very grateful for the Professor's trust and support, which became evident when she was granted a time-turner thanks to McGonagall's intercession. They also seem to see eye to eye and to share the same grounded attitude, Minerva is fair and an excellent teacher, which Hermione greatly appreciates. Overall I think there is a strong mutual respect here, especially considering their involvement with the Order. Even though they don't really see each other off the school grounds I'd say that being part of the same faction and sharing the same beliefs and aims brought them to admire the other more.

I think these two would be close, at least closer now than they were Ginny's first and second years. They're definitely close enough to confide in each other since it was Hermione who told Ginny she should date other people, so Ginny would have probably said something to her about liking Harry. They've also probably bonded when Hermione stays at the Burrow, since there are so few women around, and I would think even more so since they had Phlegm over the summer.

Absolutely, I agree with everything you said. They are very close and they did bond during the time spent at the Burrow, they shared a room if I remember correctly; and yes, Hermione gave Ginny a precious piece of advice -- and it was effective, wasn't it? :P I've always thought that Ginny was more open than Hermione and whilst she had confided in her, Hermione wouldn't quite do the same. She's too stubborn and prideful to admit to having feelings for her friend's brother, although it's so obvious that it doesn't need to be revealed. I've always thought these two got along well but they are both very hardheaded which would lead to them butting heads on occasion, even friends argue now and then xD
