The center of life at Hogwarts, the ground floor contains the Great Hall, the Entrance Hall, the caretaker's office, the staff room, the Transfiguration classroom, the viaduct, and the grand staircase.

The Hospital Wing occupies a good portion of this floor along with the classrooms where History of Magic and Muggle Studies are taught. Tapestries cover the walls of the main corridor on this floor, on which can be found the Storeroom - although it would be better not to access it, unless you wish to provoke Professor Snape's wrath.

This floor is best known for containing an out of order lavatory, which houses Moaning Myrtle's rather obnoxious ghost.

Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts classes are taught on this floor, which is also well-known for housing the Trophy Room students often have to tidy up when given detention. The entrance to the Clock Tower is placed on this floor, as well as a very secret passageway only a few know about.

This floor is traversed mostly by those who thirst for knowledge, and contains the library, the restricted section, and Professor Binns' office.

Mostly visited by Prefects and Quidditch Captains, this floor contains the Prefect's Bathroom, which can only be accessed by those who know the password.

The sixth landing of the grand moving staircase will show you the floor dedicated to Ancient Studies, where Study of Ancient Runes classes are taught.

A popular floor often trodden by students, on this level the Divination classroom and the Arithmancy classroom can be found, as well as the corridor that leads to the entrance of the Gryffindor Tower; least but not last, a very peculiar room is hidden on this floor and can be found... if you know where to look.

Hogwarts houses many courtyards located in different parts of the grounds, they make for an excellent place to study when the weather is clement and to relax with friends.

Some of the quickest forms of travel around the school, these don't move around like the staircases do. They are quite useful when you're late for class halfway across Hogwarts.

Located on the edge of the dark Forbidden Forest, the one room hut is the home of one Rubeus Hagrid. It's made of wood, and full of various items.

The Forbidden Forest is, as the name suggests, strictly off-limits to students except in the case of detention and of Care Of Magical Creatures lessons that occasionally take place there. It borders the edges of the school grounds and contains all sorts of dangerous creatures, from centaurs to acromantulas. Venture inside at your own risk.

These mysterious waters house incredible creatures beneath their dark surface; the Black Lake is home to the Giant Squid, Gryndilows and merpeople.

The Greenhouses are where Herbology classes are taught by Professor Sprout. Statues of long, serpentine dragons run along the peaked roofs of the glass structures.

The Owlery is a circular stone building, rather cold and drafty because none of the windows had glass in them. It is where the school owls and the owls belonging to students live during the year. The floor is entirely covered in straw, owl droppings and regurgitated skeletons of mice.

The Boathouse is an harbour located on the grounds where the boats are stored and where they dock when the first years arrive at Hogwarts.

If you're looking to get a dose of adrenaline and fresh air, this is the place to go. The Quidditch gate and pitch, the stands, and the changing rooms can be found here. Don't forget your broom.

Planted in 1971, the Whomping Willow disguises the opening of a secret passage leading from the Hogwarts grounds to the Shrieking Shack. A very violent plant, it has been known to attack anyone who disturbs its branches.

A clothing shop, definitely not the most refined, that among scarves, robes and hats sells lurid socks as well as socks that scream when they get too smelly.

Owls fly in and out of this small building, need to send a letter? This is the place to go.

The station that sees the Hogwarts Express at least four times per year, every student has set foot on its platforms and heard the distant whistle of a train approaching.

One of the most famous confectioneries in the Wizarding World and one of the students' favorite locations in Hogsmeade. Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, Liquorice Wands, Chocolate Frogs and all the delicacies you can imagine beckon you from the brimful shelves. Beneath a trapdoor in the cellar of the shop a secret passageway to Hogwarts is hidden.

A widely appreciated shop that sells jokes and tricks that can fulfil even Fred and George's wildest dreams.

"The haunt of happy couples". Confetti rains down on the customers, who sit holding hands across the tiny tables, sipping tea while enjoying their dates in the supposedly romantic shop.

Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop sells a range of wizarding stationery like quills, ink, parchments, envelopes... everything a diligent student needs.

A dingy pub, owned by Aberforth Dumbledore, that attracts a disreputable clientele. The floor is covered in several layers of dirt, the bay windows are so encrusted with filth you can barely see through them; the place is filled with rough wooden tables upon which nothing more than stubs of burnt candles lay.

A well known inn and pub owned by the beautiful Madame Rosmerta. One of the most welcoming places in Hogsmeade, it is usually crowded, warm and alive with chatter.

Just off of Diagon Alley, Knockturn Alley contains shops devoted to the Dark Arts, such as Borgin & Burkes. The people who frequent this alley tend to be rather questionable and a bit on the dangerous side.

This platform in Kings Cross Station in London can only be accessed by walking directly through the brick wall separating platforms nine and ten. It is from here that the Hogwarts Express retrieves students and, after the school year is over, returns them to their caretakers.

The Ministry of Magic is located in Whitewall, in the center of London, and it is deep underground. One can enter the structure either by using the Floo Network or by using the visitor's entrance, which is disguised as a payphone. Press the correct keys and the telephone box will descend through the ground into the Atrium.

Concealed behind the apparearance of a red-bricked, abandoned store named Purge and Dowse, St. Mungo's can be accessed by walking through the main window. Healers run up and down the aisles of the five floors to treat the unfortunate patients.

Located on an island in the middle of the North Sea, this prison does not need walls or water to keep the prisoners trapped; the guards' presence is enough to incapacitate the 'guests', although lately the Dementors have seemed to wander past its borders.

Protected by the Fidelius Charm, Grimmauld Place number 12 is the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix. The building is unplottable and invisible to muggles, it was the ancestral home of the Black family.
